Building Armstrong Academy

Lately I have been building something different.
Not an app. Not a SaaS tool. An academy.
Armstrong Academy started from a simple observation.
Everyone can build now.
With AI, Cursor, Copilot, and modern tooling, the barrier to entry has collapsed. You can describe a product and watch it appear. You can paste a prompt and generate an entire feature.
But there is a gap.
The gap is understanding.
You can generate code. But can you reason about it. Can you structure it. Can you scale it.
That is where Armstrong Academy lives.
The Era of Vibecoding
We are in an era of vibecoding.
Ideas move fast. Prompts are powerful. Engineering feels more accessible than ever.
I love that.
But speed without foundations creates fragile systems. You can ship quickly and still quietly build something unstable underneath.
Armstrong Academy is built around one belief.
AI is leverage. Foundations are power.
I am teaching Next.js not just as a framework, but as a way of thinking about product structure. Routing. Layouts. Server and client boundaries. Reusable systems.
Not random tutorials. Micro lessons that stack.
Each lesson is focused, practical, and directly implementable.
Learning by Building
The academy is designed differently.
Instead of abstract lectures, every lesson comes with copy and paste prompts that students can drop directly into their own projects.
The key difference is context.
Their coding environment already knows their project structure. So when they use my prompts inside Cursor or their editor, the output adapts to their actual codebase.
It is not generic.
It is tuned to them.
That changes everything.
You are not watching someone else build. You are building your own product with guidance.
Tools Included
Armstrong Academy is also equipped with a free component library I have built from scratch.
Clean layouts. Structured dashboards. Hero sections. Interactive UI pieces. All built in a modern stack.
Students do not just learn theory.
They gain building blocks.
And more importantly, they learn why those blocks are structured the way they are.
Why This Matters
If everyone can now be an engineer, the differentiator is no longer access.
It is taste. It is structure. It is clarity.
Armstrong Academy exists to help people move from generating code to understanding systems.
From vibecoding to intentional building.
AI is not replacing engineers.
It is amplifying the ones who understand what they are doing.
That is the kind of builder I want to help create.
