AI Can Build. But AI Doesn't Have Taste.

For the past three years, I have been building websites.

Late nights. Early mornings. Iterating layouts. Rewriting sections. Learning new stacks. Breaking things. Fixing them.

At first, it was about learning how to code.

Then AI showed up.

Suddenly, everything accelerated.

Cursor. Copilot. ChatGPT. You can describe a feature and watch it appear. You can paste a prompt and generate an entire component.

The barrier to building has collapsed.

And I love that.

But something interesting started happening.

The differentiator stopped being technical skill.

It became taste.

The Real Edge

Today, anyone can spin up:

A website. A SaaS tool. An AI wrapper. A brand.

  • But can they make it beautiful?
  • Can they make it seamless?
  • Can they make it feel intentional?

There is a difference between something that works and something that feels right.

That difference is not raw code.

It is architecture. It is design principles. It is flow. It is understanding how a user moves through an experience.

AI can generate structure.

It cannot decide what should exist in the first place.

It cannot feel friction the way a human can.

It cannot sense when something is slightly off.

That is where I have focused my growth.

From Lines of Code to Systems

Early on, I obsessed over individual lines of code.

How does this function work. Why is this breaking. How do I optimize this loop.

Now I think differently.

How is this page structured. Where does state live. What is the user feeling in this transition. Is this scalable six months from now.

I did not just learn syntax.

I learned web architecture.

  • How to structure a Next.js application so it scales cleanly.
  • How to design component systems that are reusable.
  • How to create visual hierarchy that guides attention.
  • How to connect a person to a product through a screen.

That is a very different skillset than "knowing how to code."

The Era of Infinite Builders

We are entering an era where everyone can build.

That is not hype. It is reality.

The advantage is no longer access to tools.

It is judgment.

Taste.

Clarity.

The ability to filter instead of generate.

AI amplifies output.

It does not replace discernment.

And discernment is trained.

Through iteration. Through breaking things. Through rebuilding from scratch. Through studying design principles. Through shipping publicly and refining relentlessly.

That is what the last three years have been for me.

Why I Care So Much About This

My favorite thing in life is seeing ideas come to life.

A concept in someone's head turning into something real.

A landing page that converts.

A brand that finally feels aligned.

A product that suddenly makes sense to users.

There is something powerful about translating vision into interface.

That is what I want to keep doing.

So I am now offering website development as a service.

If you have:

  • A startup idea.
  • A clothing brand.
  • A portfolio.
  • A SaaS tool.
  • A creative project.

I will design and build it with you.

Not just something functional.

Something intentional.

Something structured.

Something beautiful.
